I am looking at getting a battery pack/grip attachment with 2
batteries.

I know it will allow me to take more flash pictures, but will it speed
up the time between flash pictures? ie, no more 'busy' messages while
recharging between flash pictures?

No. The batteries are discharged one at a time, not in parallel.
