Because some viewfinder isn't real viewfinder but a straight hole from
front to back of camera, or it has nothing to do with the lens. This type
of Viewfinder you may find on disable-camera or old Kodak camera etc..

Yeah. Like Joel says. You've got a disable-camera with a disabled
viewfinder.
