Just store to whatever best available source, then move to whatever newer
storage's before the old disappeared. Example

- Before 8mm film disappearing people transfer to tape. And they still
privide service for people who want to tranfer 8mm film to DVD

- Now many people transfering tape to DVD, just like when people transfered
floppies to CD and HD.

And probably pretty soon we may transfer our old DVD to Blue-DVD??

I'm finnally getting around to transfering my super-8 film to DVD.
