I have a canon400d, so I'd be inclined to agree, but why not go to the shops
and see which one you like the look and feel of in person, too?
And take a memory card with you and take pictures ' in store' and see how
they scrub up when you get home.
You have lots of choices, and doubt you could make a wrong one with the
generous budget you have to work with :-)
