Picture Project (PP) does have a feature where you can delete all
photos from the camera/card once you have downloaded the photos to PP.

such a feature.

I have a few hundred photos on the memory card, is there a way using
ninon view or picture project to erase whats there? i downloaded them
once and don't need them on the card anymore. I looked around on the
software and couldn't find anything on erase; i'm probably missing it.
I assume you have a Nikon camera then? While the card is in the camera
you can delete pictures from it by navigating through the menu
settings. You can also do a full reformat through the menu, although
you don't really need to if all you want to do is delete a bunch of
shots.
