Canon EOS350D and Nikon D50 question

Hi,

I'm new to digital photography and am trying to decide which camera to
choose between the above.

I have a quick question regarding both cameras, which I hope someone will be
able to answer. Is there a preview of the image to be taken on the LDC
display on any of these cameras? Basically, can you view your image on the
LCD display before taking the picture? I've read somewhere you can only see
the image once the picture is taken.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
SC
