If you can afford a few hundred extra, you can get a new 20D body-only for
about $1250. Of the two you listed, there's hardly any difference except
that the XT will give better results at higher ISO settings in low light.
It really comes down to the system. Don't be seduced by the D200 hype, as
Canon will without a doubt have a camera out with similar features at a
similar price in a few months.
