Q: Where can I find? :
- 64bit M$ Windows apps
- Drivers for my printers (64bit)
- 64bit games (directX 10)
In June 2006 I upgraded from an Athlon XP system.
I was thinking that the PC industry (AMD, Intel, Microsoft ect..) was
entering a new age.
I'm still waiting for:
M$ Windows Vista 64bit drivers or ( Windows Vista SP1)
DirectX 10 games and drivers
nVidia and AMD/ATI to ship 256 bit mid-range cards for DX10
I see no reason to upgrade the above system to a :
- Window Vista premium OS (64bit version)
- Duel core 64bit processor
- 2 GB duel channel overclockable RAM (DDR3)
I ran the Athlon XP (32bit) system for four year before upgrading.
I guest it will be the same for the Athlon 64?
Keep waiting and don't bother with 64-bit os's; there's very few drivers and
even less software available for them. I have an Athlon 64 3500+ single-core
CPU that handles 32-bit apps just fine and is very fast with 2x1GB of PC5400
DDR2.
Incidentally why are your cores having a duel? They're supposed to support
each other rather than kill each other.
Perhaps you guest that too?
