I want to upload a resume to a professional organization that has to
be in Word format. The problem is when I browse for the correct file
and select it, the only "Files of type" extensions that are
available "All Files" and "Pictures" and "HTML". There is no option
for Word or .doc type of file. What do I need to be able to send
the file as a ".doc" type of file?
Any help or directions are appreciated.
Thanks, greengenes.
Dear Gangrene,
One assumes you actually have the appropriate application installed
to create word documents, yes?
That is to say that you're able to create a document with an
extension of doc, no?

For my own part, I have never had a thought which I could not set
down in words with even more distinctness than that with which I
conceived it. There is, however, a class of fancies of exquisite
delicacy which are not thoughts, and to which as yet I have found it
absolutely impossible to adapt to language. These fancies arise in
the soul, alas how rarely. Only at epochs of most intense
tranquillity, when the bodily and mental health are in perfection.
And at those weird points of time, where the confines of the waking
world blend with the world of dreams. And so I captured this fancy,
where all that we see, or seem, is but a dream within a dream.
Yes, the resume is a Word document with a .doc extension.
Thanks.
I believe there is something called email, or something like that. Never
used it myself, but I've heard that a selected society of persons has
access to it. It is some obscure way to send documents and even pictures
to other people. As far as I know, you need a special program to do the
actual sending (or receiving), but I can't remember how it's called at
this moment. It was something like "press lookout" and I'm sure you find
it when you goggle for it.
