SuSE Linux or Expee?

Hey now,
Micoshaft is distributing SuSE Linux.
Does one buy SuSE Linux or Expee?

Is micoshaft abandoning windopz (l)users and
switching to GNU/Linux?

I understand that there are lots of Linuxes that
are free such as OpenSuse where you needn't
pay anything. And they come with loads of software
such as OpenOffice, Konqueror, Firefox, Qemu (a full
PC emulator!!!), etc..

There are also livecds http://www.livecdlist.com
Stuff like DSL is incredibly fast.
Knoppix has Qemu and it will run windopz in a little
virtuallized window!!! Fluddy Flsck!! If you full screen
the window, you can't tell the difference!!!!
The hard disk is just a single say 4Gb file.
The best thing about it is that if it gets infected with
viri, then you just copy over another 4Gb saved file,
and your virtual PC is up and running again!!!!
Ubuntu seems good - you can select thousands of free
packages from Synaptic Package Manager and it just works!
And if you want, you get supported versions too.
The installs are bloody quick too - about half hour.

So I'm just wondering in all new facilities,
whether switching to GNU/Linux is better
than paying for expee licenses and getting nothing
but just a license. I mean, with Linux, you get
all the source code for the operating system and all
the applications free. So you can modify to heart's content.
I use Gambas for example as replacement for visual basic.
Its incredibly powerful when you marry that with
little C programs and scripting programs to produce
powerful programs in minutes. I can peer into the
source code at every level and fix things if I want
something working in ways that I need.
I can't do anthying like that if I just pay
through the nose for licenses and not end up
with source code.
