I'm sure millions have been effected. Is there nothing that can be done
about it.
I seem to be working OK without KB894391 - is that the only (or best)
solution?

Receive "Generic Host Process" error message when booting after installing
latest Windows Security Updates (873333 (MS05-012)). I tried to follow
Windows instructions for correcting the problem. Clicked on "End Program"
but machine stalled and required removing power supply to release it..
Uninstalled KB894391 which allowes me to operate but it may have left me
open to some security risks or something worse.
Does anyone have any suggestions for correcting te problem?
