| Hi--
|
| Here's a challenge for someone --
|
| --running windows xp pro. service pack 2 (1GB RAM, 3.0 processor)
| --computer was offline for a couple weeks, reconnected it the other day
| and downloaded the latest microsoft updates.
| --DID NOT reboot at the time b/c was working on a bunch of stuff
| --left on overnight, next AM am greeted by the blue screen with the
| following message:
|
| Stop: C0000221 bad image checksum the image netapi32.dll is possible
| corrupt The header check sum does not match the computed checksum
|
| --could not boot to windows, could not boot into "last good
| configuration" or "safe mode (of any kind)" Read some documentation at
| the Microsoft help site about downloading new versions of the .dll file
| and replace the corrupt one thru recovery console. Well, i was not
| confident of my ability to accomplish this without screwing something
| else up. So, I ran the windows xp repair off the install disk. This
| worked for a couple hours but then i returned to find a continously
| rebooting machine that would end up in the blue screen as mentioned
| above.
|
| Does anyone have any suggestions of my next move? I would certainly
| appreciate it!
|
| Cathy

Do you have a legitimate copy of XP Pro?
