I have installed windows xp after having reduced it of:
Internet Explorer. Outlook Express, Media Player & other things

New C:\Program files still includes some empty folders that i
consider useless: Movie Maker, Msn Gaming zone, Netmeeting, OE,

Windows does not allow to cancel these folders directly. I can do
that in Dos or in F8. What do you suggest, do i delete them safely
or new windows still needs them in c:\Program files?
Rule #1: If in doubt, don't.
Thank you Kadaitcha. i have an enquiring mind. I created an image with
Acronis and carried on deleting the said folders. Everything seems ok.
New Windows with all applications installed works like a jet.
