Hi all,

Sorry if this has been covered but it is nearly 2:30 am and I have
been at this for half a day and still no further on, well not much.

Basically something has killed my ability to run "Help and Support"
plus many programs fail when help is hit. I think I have narrowed
it down to how the systems uses the CHM files but I can not see
what the problems in detail. I know it is supposed to use HH.exe

That is about it other than I am not sure how or what caused it, it
have not had need to use help for some time so this may have
happened any time in the last couple of months with extensive use
of the computer.
Any suggestions and help will be gratefully received.

Thanks in advance.

I did find this after posting and ran the VB script. After a reboot I
tried "Help and Support" and instead of just a simple nothing I had
disc activity for a few seconds then nothing again. I did a virus
check even though I have not heard of a virus doing this but none
found. I know one of the file cleaning programs can cause this and I
do have
McAfee installed which could fit in the time scale but have not yet
seen anything that says this could be the cause. I intend to remove
it as I have never used it so will rerun the script after that to
see if it works then.
