On bottom right corner there's a writing "Windows XP Proff.....x64
edition build 3790....."
how do i remove this ?
Thanks

Try:

Microsoft.com
PowerToys
TweakUI
\General
"Show Windows version on desktop{"

aha...i'll try...i hope it works on Win x64.... :-))
thanks

There's a 64-bit version of TweakUI next to the 32-bit version.

found. But it says i can't remove evaluation version sign...unless
(if i understand right) i enable web content on desktop . . . i just
don't find the way (yet)...

It may not be there. I still use 32-bit and haven't looked at the 64-bit
TweakUI.

This was the manual way to do it in XP... see if it matches the 64-bit
version.

1.Click on "Start", then "Run.." and type "regedit".
2.Navigate to the registry key:
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop".
3.Once there, locate the DWORD value "PaintDesktopVersion".
4.Right click on it and select Modify.
-Value equal to "0" removes Windows version from desktop.
-Value equal to "1" adds Windows version to desktop.
5.Reboot your computer.

tried. It seems that MS is really worked hard to keep that eval sign
visible.... OK, i won't die because of it...
i just thought, since i remembered that i did it once...

It's just for testing and curiosity anyway...and it's free for 120 days...
thanks anyway!
