Windows XP CD Burner Went Kaput <frown>

Hi Peeps. :)
After some issues with Roxio's Drag to Disc feature I uninstalled Roxio and
replaced it with Nero Express.
Now for some dang reason Windows CD burner is writing CD's using the RAW
File System instead of the CDFS....I tried burning a CD using the Plextor
DVDR and it also was written in RAW when using WIndows CD burner. Same for
burning using Nero Express...RAW again.
I spent considerable time trying to remedy this problem before resorting to
a reformat and reinstallation of Windoes XP Home.
I was certain a reinstall would fix this debacle and was pretty dismayed
when I burnt a disc using Plextor CD-R, and learned the Windows CD burner
is still burning in RAW. <rattled>
Though, using Nero Express I can burn DVD's with no problem. NE burns DVD's
using the CDFS File System, yet burns CD's using the RAW file system.
<weird>
Could someone please help me out b4 my mind goes RAW trying to solve this
problem?
Many thanks and a belated Happy Dad's Day to all you fathers who have to
live with a nutcase like me. :)
Sharon
