Carey is right there, johnny-on-the-spot, trying to drum up more
business for Microsoft. It doesn't matter what the EULA says, it
doesn't matter what the TechNet article says, Carey is going to sell
a "full retail copy of XP" or die trying.

I'm one of Kurt's biggest fans.
I'm not big on ad hominem, and I ignore those who do it badly, but Kurt
does it very, very well. I suppose it's because he argues the argument
at the same time he's arguing the person. Either that, or it's just
because he's such a funny son-of-a-bitch.
I finally put Carey in my killfile. He's all alone in there, because I
usually just pointedly ignore people who annoy me, but I'm pretty sure
it was his intervention that caused me a three-day global killfiling in
the Microsoft groups. (Kurt performed the counter-intervention, btw, or
I'd still be banned.)
Now I make it easy on myself--I have all the interesting posters
flagged. It's a little difficult to keep up with those who nymshift for
the sake of ridiculing the clueless, but the birdlet has cut into my
free time quite a lot.
