Here is my problem, i hope someone can help. i have read a lot about
this error, but mine seems to be different.
the comp is a 64 bit AMD with win xp 32bit OS. 1 SATA hard drive on
SATA0 port on the mobo, i have dvd re-writer on IDE 1 on mobo and it
is set to master. when i turn on the comp i get message"disk boot
failure. insert system disk and press enter". if i press enter nothing
happens(no cd in the drive), but if i restart the comp by pressing the
restart button, the comp will boot normally. no matter how many times
i restart after this it it will work fine, but as soon as i turn it of
then back on i get the same message. iv'e gone through the bios
settings and told it to only boot fron hard drive but that made no
difference. PLEASE someone help.

George.

What happens if you use a different hard drive or cable or power cable?
