Re: Installing Programs
Peter blabbered in alt.os.windows-xp:
I'm setting up a new computer for my Church's office (XP Pro).
As well as the administrator there are 3 limited accounts.
I'd like to know how XP decides if a program I install as
Administrator can be seen by other users. Some installs seem limited
to the Administrator account others to all. Can the choice be
changed?
A related question occurs with MS Powertoys TweakUI. I installed this
as Administrator & it is visible there & from the limited accounts BUT
the one option I really wanted, turning of the shortcut arrow on the
desktop shortcut icons, is not present on the limited accounts.
Any advice would be appreciated
You /have/ tried "run as", now didn't you?
TIA
