hi i had the same thing
but i lost loads of files, as i had drive partitioned, after the same
errors as you, i actualy lost the second partition, but used a program
called "undelete" which got most of my files back./
the only thing i could think it was , maybe a virus ect, or rogue
program, i had to format drive d, and reload windows image onto drive
c.
it kept on syaing index errors, ect.
i always keep a backup image on cd!

i am afraid i cannot help you on the cause of the problem but as i
have never seen this error before. if you loose any data i could email
you the regged undelete program which saved my drive and files.
