Fast User Switching

I have got a legit copy of XP Home, with two accounts - my own
(administrator) and the kids' (users). My kids hardly ever use this PC but
had to recently when their own broke.

I tried to use fast user switching but it ain't working - when you click
"switch user" at the log-off prompt nothing at all happens. I went into
User Accounts in control panel and made sure it was enabled there - still
zilch.

I went into Computer Services under Admin Tools - Fast User Switching is
showing as Manual - I tried to select it to "start" and got the following
error message:

"Could not start fast user switching compatability on local computer
error 1068: dependancy or group failed to start"

Any ideas? Thanks
