I switched on, as usual and everything has gone very tiny+all my lovely
arrangement on my desktop has all gone 'normal' i.e. to the left! What on
earth has happened???!!!
Two things, seemingly unrelated. How they happened I haven't a clue. Is
there somebody in your family/office who knows enough to mess with it but
not enough to leave it alone? This can also result when the machine is shut
down improperly.
Your screen resolution has been reset. Right-click anywhere on the desktop,
select Properties>Settings and look for a slider control labeled "screen
resolution." This property *** can look a little different depending on
your graphics controller's software. Try different positions of the slider
until one looks right to you. Maybe you'll find one you like better than
before!
Your Active Desktop has been set to Auto-Arrange or Align to Grid. Again,
right-click on an empty area of the desktop and this time select Arrange
Icons By... and if either Auto-Arrange or Align to Grid is checked, click
to uncheck it. Then you will be able to drag the icons back where you want
them.
