I have a fairly new Toshiba laptop ..Intel Celeron 1.3GHZ and Windows
XP, HDD 40GB

I am having problems with software all of a sudden.

When I use IE, Mozilla, Yahoo Messenger etc....my screen FREEZES and
say
not responding on the top of the frame of these windows.

I have to wait till it unfreezes itself or kill everything and start
again.

I used Mcafee virus scan, did a Defrag - but stll have these problems.

Can anyone pls help.

In the US a number of class action lawsuits are being prepared against
Toshiba due to a faulty laptop cover on many models which causes static to
be transfered to the components via the touchpad/speakers.

I would take it in for repair.
