Can I connect a VGA and DVI cable to the back of my Monitor at the
same time to use with a KVM switch?
Thanks
Monitor is a 19" Samsung 193P LCD

Keyboard
Video
Mouse

One of each connecting to multiple computers.

Where would you intend to plug the extra video cable?

If, on the other hand, you mean to have two separate computers
connected to the monitor whilst using a KVM to swap keyboard and
mouse functions only then it may work. It largely depends on your
monitor, if it has a switch to select which input to display, like
mine has then yes. If it doesn't, then no.

Capice?

I'm wanting to do pretty much the same thing. I have a Dell 1905FP. It
has both DVI and VGA inputs. I have a CompuCable KVM that's only
VGA. I tried using the VGA input and run it through the KVM, but
there's quite a bit of shadowing. It would be fine for the
occasional work I do through a second machine. However, for my main
box that I work on most the time, it would suck.

I would like to use a DVI plug from the LCD panel straight to my 1st
PC (the video card has both VGA and DVI outputs). Then use a VGA
plug from the LCD to the KVM box. The problem is that I think the
1905FP LCD panel automatically choose which port to use, based on
what is plugged in. If I could find a way to choose DVI or VGA on
the fly, I'd be set.
Banned, is your switch buried in the monitor menu or is it a separate
deal?

On the HP2335 there are a number of buttons on the front to select which
input one wishes to use or to select or deselect picture in picture.
