Re: can't boot, help needed

Thanks all for help
I forgot to mention thid is my daughters pc..she is away on 6 months back
packing thing

I don't have any cd and presume windows is preinstalled somewhere in the pc.

I tried a recovery disc, but this then only wanted a cd

I have looked in the bios and the boot is set to Lan

PC world seemed to think I would not be able to do anything without their
expertise and discs

She bought the pc from tesco and I beleive its made by Philips...I don't
know if she has ever opened the case as the pc is only 6 months old..would
opening it negate any warrentry she may have taken out

Many thanks for finding time to give me some of your knowledge
