..NET did have a 'Critical' update, but nothing "this past week". He would
have had the Welcome Screen for quite awhile with .NET installed. He can
resolve that with TweakUI, but his 2nd complaint was that he didn't have an
Administrator account... even in Safe Mode, apparently, he used it as his
account.

Looking back over the thread, he has two complaints; Welcome Screen and no
Administrator account. Now, he asks about the Admin logon password... I'm
confused what his problem is. He should just do a Format and Clean
Installation.
