Re: Noisy overheating PC



Check your BIOS settings - make sure that:
a) your CPU isn't being overclocked
b) the shutdown temp of the CPU isn't set to a lower level than it
should be, in the BIOS (you don't mention what temperature you're
seeing in the BIOS). The CPU should sit around 55 deg, and shutdown
temp shopuld probably be about 70-80 - read up on your chip
manufacturers site to see what they say.
