Virus has disabled my windows firewall

I am using Windows xp proff sp 2.
When I boot my computer the windows firewall is "on" in about 30 sec.
then it goes "off", I belive this is due to a virus and I have tried
to run latest update of MacAfee , Avast and Adavare without any luck.
Can annyone help me please.
