Internet Explorer 6 settings

Hi, firstly sorry if this is posted on the wrong group.

I just started up my PC after a 2 week break went on-line and find I can now
only have one window open at one time. before this I had multiple sites
minimised so I could switch between them, now if I click on a link to
another site it opens in the same window and I cant even click back to the
previous site! I've tried changing the IE settings but nothing has worked.

Can anyone help please????
