A few years ago, my then roommates and I had a fridge we needed to get rid of. I told one of them to place it in the alley behind our garage. About 4 days went by and nobody took the bait. My roommates asked me, "Now what?" I told him to slap a big sign on it "For Sale $50" Sure enough, someone "stole" it that night :-)"Carla A-G" <khsgrl@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote in message news:11jl7nhmu7qd8e2@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

On the weekend, i will be replacing an old wornout bike.
What do I do with the one that i am replacing it with?
... there are lakes and swamps around that I could "leave it" in.
Thanks,
Micheal
Don't dump it into a body of water. A bicycle has all sorts grease, oil, paint, etc. that will pollute the body of water.
I wasnt planning on it, it was sarcasm
Donate it to a local charity or give it to a bike shop and ask if they can do something with it or give it to someone who can fix it up and use it or leave it leaning against a wall in the busy part of town (someone will eventually wind up taking it). Just don't pollute our water more than it already is.
This area's crime is not high enough for that to happen, and the bike is worthless
Problem solved. -- Slack .
