Hello Dragonfly!
Yes, I've heard over many years of how "royal jelly" was suppose to
help as an alternative medicine. This dates back to the Greeks etc.
There was a woman selling this item on QVC, many years ago. It helped
her as a natural energy boost. It was expensive.....
I've also met a lady while traveling, telling me that she actually was
stung by bees on purpose and monitored, to help her with her pain and
mobility. Even though she was in a wheelchair at the time I met her.
I thought that she was a little off base here, then again, who knows?
I'm certainly not endorsing this method nor the "royal jelly" one
either, as I've personally not tried either one.....
I googled "honeybee food" and found some interesting sites. There was
another site that I visited regarding a bill that was put
forward....for the protection of the honeybees. Geesh! I guess
you've gotta do , what you've gotta do!
Anyway.....I'm keeping my "tree". I'm might transplant/relocate it in
the future.... we'll see! Not now, they're still buzzing.... I'm
going to have to research this as well.
Take care and be well out there! Debra
Don't know about the "royal jelly" one, but its the purposeful stings
that I was thinking of! I forget where I read about it, but it was in
a scientific journal, so pretty reputable. But, not something I'd be
all that willing to try myself. I'd feel bad for the bees, afterall
they can only sting once. Would be different if it wasn't the case,
maybe.
So many wildflowers blooming here, its making the bees a bit crazy :)

Dragonfly,
We've got the Bradford Pear trees blooming and I've seen some Dogwoods
as well.
Although I'm a little concerned....last night it went down to the
20's. I haven't checked my honey bee tree yet. I hope they survived
the night. I know it's suppose to get warmer..... It's just too cold
for the end of March IMHO!!!
Take care and be well out there! Debra
