The part about magnesium and cancer has a lot of investigational
validity in selected instances. What was said is probably more
correct than otherwise.

Without going into cell physiology and excitation dynamics, I'll just
mention that they glossed over the most critical aspect to the person
with muscle spasm. Magnesium facilitates muscle relaxation.

Magnesium is very important for the sodium/potassium pump, an
electrophysiologic process directly involved with muscle activity.
Some of the stuff, such as regarding cancer is interesting, but I
doubt that many within this newsgroup realize the importance of
magnesium for their day-to-day activities. And some of the deficit
may be from thiamine metabolism issues, but that's another issue.
