Doctor Update

My PCP has been convinced, that the synthetic thyroid hormones are not
working for me. The numbers come back ok, but I still exhibit many symptoms;
particularly a lower than normal body temp, dry and scaly skin, rapid
pulse/anxiety, fatigue and lethargy... I'm *NOT* well. The Medicare D
formulary _does_ _not_ _cover_ natural thyroid. Reason, they see no need for
it, the synthetics more than adequately do the job. I so wish the bigwigs
who serve on the determmination board, had uncontrolled Hashi's, and then
tell me that natural thyroid isn't necessary. Ha! Fortunately it isn't
prohibitively expensive, so I guess I will suck up the cost and get it. I'm
sick of being sick!

My labs all came back great, except for B-12, so she wants me to increase my
dose to 1000 mg a day. So, maybe with the Armour Thyroid, and the B-12, I'll
get my energy back. It's my last hurdle in beating the Fibro symptoms.
Should this work, I'm planning on asking my PCP to cut back on the Cymbalta,
which has been very helpful with some of my Fibro. But I don't think I will
need to continue, at least at the current dose, if I feel better otherwise.
