Re: Problems getting diagnosed if you have FMS???

Mike, do me a favor I'm still not on my desktop and setup and this laptop is
quirky and the new laptop is not fully setup.

Drag up a post where "I vowed to beat this" and Paul Hollands post where he
dragged up that I said it years ago!

All my research must be right even when it comes to having a BG problem that
does not show up in normal test. This week I have to start checking my BG
before and after meals.

PS. I bought a wicked Acer and I'm testing Vista when I have time. Still
under construction here (I keep changing things and buying different
furniture)

Oh you can also repost my "you want to be sick post"

Hey, Cheeky- here in real life, at the local "support" meetings,
it has been amazing and amusing how many women have
been determined to have thyroid dysfunction.
The parade started in '97 when I made the pitch that they
needed to stop being satisfied with the FMS diagnosis, and
be demanding to know how the doctor had verified that the
other possible conditions had been excluded.

You wouldn't believe how many people have been CURED of
the fibromyalgia diagnosis. Not that they were cured of FMS,
just that they were appropriately medicated to get control
of what they did in fact have.

You've been the poster child for this group, and have not been
reluctant to tell the story. But I don't see a bunch flocking out
to tell their doctor how good lab values doesn't mean
everything is okay. And if the doctor didn't already know that,
there will likely be a dismal effort made, that will fail, and then
the doctor would say "See, I told you it wasn't your thyroid".

So it's not like I'm going to try real hard to convince anyone.
Terse is the ticket on this one.

You've got Hashimoto's, it's played hell with your thyroid,
you're hypothyroid and poorly controlled, you are becoming
an annoyance so they've returned you to the ink-blot

the question?

Do you fancy yourself a psychic perhaps?

Nem, relax he's read up on all the thyroid stuff I posted and so have
others. Lynnster finally got tested and so did Nancy to find they
have bad thyroids that like me have been left untreated over time.
