[hypothesis]: you're comparitively young, got a couple of physical
things going on - and female.

it would not be at all unusual for a doc to 'not' pursue more agressive
testing of the more esoteric possible causes of what are 'not' life
threatening effects that you have to endure.

but until they are ruled out, there is a fair chance taht you 'are'
living with some form of imbalance that doesn't 'stick out'...

sure, we have all had bouts of overwhelming fatigue, but with the kids,
you're correct that this needs to be dealt with if at all possible.

be well

Hey everyone, just had a quick question about if any of you have had
this happen.  I have been unable to say awake for the last 3 days.  I
don't know what to do about it because my four kids are home from
school and I HAVE to stay awake to keep at least a little bit of an
eye on them.  They are old enough to entertain themselves at least for
a little bit but I can't leave them to their own accord for hours on
end.  My husband works a very flexible job luckily and was able to
help me out for the last few days but has a lot of surgeries to cover
tomorrow and I do not have any help if I crash out.  I usually take
vitamin B complex to curve the fatigue enough that I can do at least a
little bit around the house.  If I drink an energy drink with no sugar
then I have a little bit more energy and I can get even more done.  I
never seem to be able to get as much done as I need to but I am ok
with that because I know that it isn't that I am lazy but that it is
my body not cooperating with me.  Has anyone else had problems like
this and if so what did you do to help with it?  I had this happen a
few months ago.  I slept for almost two weeks straight and then
couldn't sleep for two weeks.  I had hoped that this was the end of
it.  I slept through New Years and my husband had to sit alone for the
time change.  It breaks my heart that I am missing out on things like
this and that my family is not getting what they need from me.  I know
that you all understand the limitations that we are under but there
are so many things going on and I am facing another diagnosis which is
frustrating and scary.  Any help would be appreciated...

CB,
It was suggested that I see an endocrinologist by another poster on
the depression site.  Another one also suggested Ginko and Kotu Kola.
I have not heard of the later one, have you?  I was also told to hire
a nanny but that is not in the finances so they suggested that my
husband get another job!  I mean, he works so hard at the job he is at
now and his job is extremely flexible.  He can come home to check on
me a couple times a day and even can take a day off if I go totally
nutter or like the last 3 days, sleep all day.  When I was in the
hospital for 2 weeks he was able to keep track of the kids, come visit
me often and still work.  His friends cover his work and give him
things that he can do from home so that he can help me out.  He is
salaried so that makes a huge difference!  There is always a check
coming.  With the way the guys cover each other they have not had to
use any of their vacation time or even sick time off.  He has a lot
stored up.  I just wish that I could work again.  I was bringing in
1200 a month watching one kid and if I could watch 2 or 3 I could make
as much as Chris is.  Problem is that my health is so unpredictable
that I can't do that and feel like I am doing the best for the kids I
care for...  I think that I have blabbed on and on enough.  Sorry, I
get like that when I am hyper and right now I am...drank a few energy
drinks so that I don't crash today...YIPPIE!!!!!

Paul,
We have already done a hysterectomy because of a fibroid, we may have
to remove the ovaries because they didn't get all of the endometriosis
and I have polycystic ovaries as well which causes me a great deal of
pain. I think that with the endometriosis comes a hormonal
imbalance. My PCP has done quite a bit of blood work but nothing more
then the standard checking around. I have talked to him about doing
more testing but he is fighting with my GE about the abdominal pain
that is causing me a lot of pain as well. Since I am throwing up
about once a day and have almost constant nausea I think that his mind
has gotten focus on this problem more then the imbalances. I haven't
seen him since we talked about the results of the colonoscopy and the
endoscopy. When I go see him in a few weeks I can address the testing
again. I am also wondering if along with an imbalance I should try
the vitamin B shot to see if that helps out as well. When I take the
B complex it also eases my body aches and lessens my flair up pains.
I have to find some way to get the B complex other then in pill form
because the pills make me throw up even more then usual and very
nauseous to the point that I can't eat at all. I have tried the
sublingual and it doesn't work as well as the pills or the energy
drinks which has an insane amount of the various B vitamins. I know,
all kind of complex things going on to make it difficult to figure
out. It drives me crazy.
