Does anyone Know about leeches and myofascial pain????

I Read an article about myofascial pain and the use of leeches.
Aparently, in Russia, there has been a few studies pointing to the use
of leeches as a viable and useful treatment for myofascial pain.
I dunno if anyone else has given it any thought. I know it sounds
gross, but if it works........................
