i've been rheum factor negative my entire life - and still diagnosed as
auto-immune still's - an ra variant. you'll need other criteria to rule
it out

Thanks again - very informative indeed and much appreciated. As I stated
earlier I have a good friend here in NH who has been diagnosed with all
of these and also is on a gluten and wheat free diet. My cousin is
bordering CFS though they have not provided a *formal* name for her
condition yet.
My concern regarding my own health is that I do not fall into any
category. This past winter I was barely able to take a shower because
the water stung my skin so bad. My eyes and mouth were extremely
dry(ruled out on sjorens) My legs were in extreme pain, and it was
difficult to walk down hills without gritting my teeth due to knee/joint
pain. Miraculously all of the skin/leg/knee stuff cleared up last month.
The latest item on my agenda is severe migraines which nauseate and make
me dizzy when out in the sun. BTW - I am negative for rf - so am just
doing research and taking tests when it looks like I might find an
answer or another possible test to pester my physician with.
cheers,

Did you know that nicotine can be harmful to the disks in your back
because it decreases the ability of the disks to absorb nutrients they
need to stay healthy, and may cause them to become dry and brittle?
