Hi Morgan,

It's not possible to TELL you if you have TMJ (Tempromandibular Joint
Disfunction) over the internet. You need to see your family doctor or
a dentist to come to that conclusion. But it does sound like that to
me. Does your jaw "click" at all or sound crunchy when you slide it
from side to side? Does it get 'stuck' in the same position and feel
like it'd be excruciatingly painful to unstick it?

And YES, it is VERY possible that your bad sleeping position and sore
neck could be related to TMJ - and also (if you have TMJ) that your
TMY is related to a bad sleeping position. <IOW> - each could cause
the other.

Grinding or clenching your teeth or locking your jaw at night can
contribute to a TMJ. All these things happen when you're stressed
because you're not sleeping properly and you're in pain. If it *is* a
TMJ, your dentist can make you a night guard that might solve the
problem.

I agree with all that Janey posted. I have TMJ and have recently had
a night mouth guard made for me.
It has really helped. I never realized how hard I clenched my jaw/
teeth at ngiht....until I cracked a tooth.

fun.
I'll remember to stand back and feed you with my palm like the horse if I
go to give you a treat like a carrot or apple or something! ;)
