Oh, D'uh...Fibromoment there. That should have read "Getting over FMS..."

Michael, there are people who would love to consider that alternative,
but FMS is rarely the only factor. And even when it is, many PWFMS are
exercise _intollerant_, as I'm sure you know.

Sorry, I guess I've just seen too many FMS'ers that got better

But I realize that I'm seeing a skewed sampling, filled with people,
mainly women, that are learning to make exercise and stretching
an integral part of their activities.

So for those I'm personally associated with in real life that opt for
the stronger med route, I remind them that it's not my place to
judge their choice. But I do try to put them into contact with
someone that may be able to become an "exercise buddy" if
they are willing to consider the alternative.
Because, indeed, YMMV.

But, Michael, what's wrong with advancing to stronger pain meds? It's
implying that there is something bad about pain meds, and that's
something
we need to get away from. To me, it's no different than stop making
better
antibiotics, or better cancer drugs.

What are you saying here?

Understood.
But a substantial number of the pain docs see strong meds
begetting even stronger ones, and seek to halt that cascade.
