Wow,
it sounds like my doctor and yours are related.
I take pretty much what you do. I only get 180 5mg caps of oxycodone a
month. 3 caps/2X day.
I am on a much higher dose of Oxycotin, (Oxycodone extended release). 80
mg of oxycotin 3X a day, 5mg oxycodone (instant release) capsules. 3
caps/two times a day. Plus a anti-depressant. Is testosterone a growth
hormone????????????
I started giving myself injections every two weeks. Yesterday, I stepped on
the scale for the first time in a couple months. Before I started the
injections, I weighed about 185-190 (72 inches tall) I now weigh 215 pounds
and oddly enough my pants and shirts fit the same or maybe a little looser
than before.
I worried about mood changes so I had refused to take this for 3 years after
I was told to. Yesterday, I had though about it and asked my wife if my
mood has gotten worse since starting the T. she said that it had, slightly.
She said that I am a happier person than before starting them. That floored
me. You could have knocked me over with a feather.
Well back to your problem..........
I learned what you need to do to find a new doctor that will Rx for you, but
this is digging real deep in the trash bin.
I was talking to the attorney that took my workman's comp insurance company
to task, and mentioned the meds my Rhuemy was Rx'ing me. (this was well over
three years ago. I have had my meds doses changed a number of times, since
then)
He asked who the doctor is. He said that he had clients that needed more
meds for pain than their doctors were willing to Rx.
I pointed thru his office window, across the street (less than 50 yards
away) and said "that is his office"
Now to get to your problem. I had been unbelievably lucky with my doctors.
If you have an attorney of this type, ask him of call one that advertises
on TV. they give the initial 30 min. consultations, usually free.
They should know what doctors take care of their pain paitents .

news:1172701598.022897.314030@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>I am in a situation that I was afraid was going to happen one day and
I am hoping someone here can help me. I have severe fybromyalgia and
have been suffering with it now for 5 years. I have been to countless
doctors/specialist/treatments and test over the years far to numerous
to even mention. I have done countless hours of research and can feel
comfortable with saying I have tried everything. All of which I say in
interest of keeping this post short as if I was to list out all my
history and what I have been through it would be a small novel (as is
my medical file and as I am sure all of you are in similar situations
with length of medical history).
Basically what it comes down to is I have been able to maintain
somewhat of a functional life with a particular treatment. I take
Testosterone, growth hormone and 60mg of oxycodone a day for pain with
an occasional Tylenol when that isn't enough. My doctor has been very
good about my pain medication usage as I have been very responsible
with it. I get prescribed 360 5 mg tablets a month, which yes sounds
like allot but oxycodone only comes in 5 or 15 mg (15 is just too
strong during the day), not 10. The way I take it is 10mg every 6
hours but at night 15mg every 4 hours as nighttime is so much more
severe. All in all it works out to 60 mg a day, and again, I have been
I feel responsible with this medication as over the past 3 years I
have not asked for an increase in dosage and I never take more than
above mentioned and I don't plan on it as I don't want to loose
control with this drug and spiral upward. Believe me, if I took this
medication as needed for pain it would be every 3 hours as I am
constantly in pain, but I work hard to control both my pain and my
dosage.
Now the ball has dropped, my Doctor has moved away and the other Dr in
the office who I have been referred to simply stated that she does not
feel comfortable with prescribing this many pills per month (long
story short). What I don't want is to have to go through all I have
been through all over again with test, test and more test, trying all
these funky drugs like Neurontin, Miaprex(sp?), ect...ect that are
honestly no less damaging as they screw with your brain chemistry and
have really nasty side effects, been there done that.
Does anyone out there know of a Dr in the Massachusetts area (close to
Boston) that understands proper use of pain medication and is not
afraid of perscribing it if taken responsibly?
In reguards to my post to your question about finding another doctor
who presribes the medications that are working for you I understand
that all to well, I was just trying to help you get to the root of the
problem using nutrients so that you would need not worry about finding
doctors for that much of what works for you. I too have had the
problem of finding a dr who will prescribe a what I needed, The point
You would not need that quanity any longer.
As for e-mailing for more information the answers to questions and
videos that have much information to make an informed decesion and and
educated decesion are needed for you to see what this is about unless
you have given up and just want to stay on pain medication, I thought
the reason for posting was to help people get help for Fibromyalgia,
and Glyconutrients do just that , not only for pain but for sleep,
memory, fatigue, brain fog, and all the other nasty things that
Fibromyalgia does to us.
I have suffered with Fibromyalgia for years along with alot of other
horrible things fibro did to my life , took my life from me and as I
only existed not lived any more I know others are going through the
same thing and It's my responsibility to you and all sufferes to share
this gift of how Glyconutrients help the body healt and put a great
amount of healing in your cells so that your suffering is greatly
reduced and the need for high quanity of pain relivers is reduced.
I was taking 220 mg daily of oxycotin for pain so I do know how
important it is to find another doctor, rite away, I agree with that I
wish I had a name for you , this is what I had to offer so I was
trying to help, And I do not feel I was in erroe as there is much to
know about how they work as a person should know about what can help
them actually heal and how and why it works, It's not BS its a
wonderful healing and I intend to share it with as many people I can
possibly reach, I still hope you will visit the site

God Bless and I do hope you find a doctor that can give
you what you need to keep you functioning, it's not a life without
being able to and what ever works is the best way, been ther done that
and totally agree.
I saw some one gave the list of Good Doctors I trullly hope one of
them helps. Fibro Friend.
