I did ask if I could do it myself but she wouldn't let me... I dunno
why, I'm sure I could do it at least as well as some of the nurses
who've injected me. Hate it when they slowly insert the needle and
inject the fluid to quickly when it should be the other way around.

Hi Vashti, one reason why the nurses don't want you to do it yourself,
is the risk of hitting the sciatic nerve if the needle isn't placed
correctly. As to the other thing, just ask the nurse to do it the way
you like, she shouldn't be upset by the request, everyone has their own
