Reiki is a type of energy therapy that has been adopted by many new

I know folks who teach it and practice it but honestly, I don't know
much about it.

I know how to do what is known as touch therapy but actually you don't touch the person at all. You move your hands over them about 2
inches from their body to "move" the negative energy out and away from them.
Actually the Reiki therapist is attempting to balancing the bio-electric
field of the recipient to aid in healing.
It's an interesting practice and I've been able to do it on myself at
times but it's hard for me to focus and concentrate.
Reiki is actually a process carried out by the subconscious mind, so doing it only requires the conscious intention, for the bodies healing energy to flow to start the process.
A person feeling compassion for another can start a 'similar' energy transfer process.
