Alex,
Your mention of sleep problems is interesting. Many conditions I work with have sleep disruption components (trouble falling asleep,
trouble remaining asleep, etc.). I have found neurofeedback to be
a very useful approach for sleep issues. Often sleep problems are among the first things to change for the better.

Right, that is why I mentioned it, but most people with fibromyalgia have the added problem of disturbed sleep caused by pain.

Basically what neurofeedback does is help a person learn through
visual feedback to control brain activity that is usually
thought of as *not* consciously controllable. You may use that
statement Steve. ;-)
The Discovery Channel had a show where the computer game method Steve is talking about was being used to help autistic & turrets syndrome children.
IMO, if Steve were to look into developing a similar program for pain control as well as silencing over active minds so people could sleep neurofeedback would be very helpful for PWFMS.
