Thank you for the advice. I can see from how these people gang up on
you for being considerate that they deserve their lives.
It's unfortunate that a few have such a desire to trash things to make
themselves feel better without having the honesty to review what they
are trashing. I would challenge any of them to actually go to my
website and read it and find out what is really there.
I took the time to answer directly and honestly a few of the detractors
but I don't know if it does any good. I learned in practice many years
ago that it is not the doctor that cures the patient. It is the
patient. If the patient doesn't want to consider what has to be done,
there is no doctor in the world that can make a patient well. All the
doctor can do is aid the patient in their quest for relief, management
or cure. Unfortunately, all too often, it is the patient's attitude
that causes the greatest disruption or blocking of their healing.
Because of this I learned to be accepting of their attitude and
decision. If they wish to continue in pain or disease or discomfort, I
wish them well, but I lose no sleep over it.
It's obvious that they have very little experience with health care
other than complaining of pain or ridiculing others for self
engrandizement.
It seems that the issue is the use of a word they don't agree with -
cure. Even though it is used to question whether there is a cure or
not, I can't help but believe that they are too far gone emotionally,
psychologically and socially to believe that there is even a
possibility of a cure. Therefore they take umbridge at the use of the
word for any purpose. I will take your advice and as I post to other
forums to help people in pain I will be a little more careful not to
attract the worst of the web.
Thank you,
Dr. Ken Rich
P.S. As a bit of added defense, I've taught over 1,000 doctors on board
approved CME courses the exact things I teach on my website, Trigger
Points and how to use them for control of pain on a non-pharmaceutical
basis. I've had many of thedoctors and nurses relate to me how they
were able to relieve severe pain quickly in situations where the
patient was unable to receive any more medication because they, as
professionals, had learned how to deal with muscle pain as part of the
overall picture. It is my humble opinion that if what I teach and
provide is acceptable to doctors, nurses and therapist, there must be
something wrong with these people that feel a need to call it quackery.
Oh, well, such are the ignorant spared in their ignorance.
Ken,
You're quite welcome.
Seriously, if it gets nasty contact the Clarksville Tennessee FBI who
are aware of what goes on here at alt med fibromyalgia (AMF) In 2001 I
was sent a death threat via email from Long Island New York. The
attacks as you can see continue to this day...
