Lots and lots, unfortunately.
And when your whole body
aches and you can't explain why people look at you as if you are a
hyprocondriac.
If it bugs you, just tell them you have a chronic pain condition. And
now that you're here and learning more about it, you can soon give them
the What For and explain it ALL to them. Make their heads spin with
talk of Cortisol and Serotonin and the HPA Axis and Substance P.
You are NOT a hypochondriac. I've seen that word at least twice in the
last two days. We don't have a label or tattoo on our foreheads that
says which illness we have. All "invisible illnesses", ones that
people cannot see an obvious reason for, get stigmatized and belittled
and I think we need to educate the public better about this.
I thought it was payback from too much partying in my
younger days 70's and 80's are a blur LOL! when it first happened the
doc. said they are just like kidney stones at that time I never heard
of people getting stones in the saliva gland. he told me it was more
common then you would think. I know one thing.. I am not scheduling my
surgery until after the fair. because I want to have my mouth water
from the smell of all that food.. The place you can get anything on a
stick.
Sounds like fun. When is it? I think your mouth will still water
after the surgery, from the other salivary glands, but you might not
have much fun EATING all that stuff on a stick if you've just had
surgery on your throat or mouth.
