Monique, what part of the world are your from. If you're from New
England, I would highly recommend that you consult with Dr Mhetta from
the Tufts New England Hospital, Oral/facial pain clinic. He is one of
the most respected TMJ specialists in the country.--fran

Hi everyone,
Went back to the neurologist yesterday. In addition to FM and IBS (both
Bladder and Bowel), now diagnosed me with TMJ. He referred me to a
specialist for the TMJ so that he can address my problems. We think
that the TMJ is causing my headaches, severe neck and shoulder pain,
fascial muscle spasms, as well as my slurred speech and ear problems.
I went from one abbreviation to 4 now. I used to be so healthy.......
now I am like a walking medical encyclopedia.
This week was a tough week. No sleep, numbness in my left arm most days
and a very hectic week at work. I work a full time job managing a 663
room hotel. Needless to say I am non-stop!!!! I survive on Red Bull and
chocolate!
My Neurologist changed my meds.
I am now on 10mg Lexapro, 0.25 mgZanax, 10mg Amitriptyline and he added
75 mg Lyrica yesterday. I don't really like to take this many
medications and hope to be able to drop a few soon. However last night
was the best night sleep I have had in a LONG time. I was in bed by
9.30pm, asleep by 9.31pm (my poor hubbie) and woke up at 7am - 9 and a
half hours of uninterrrupted sleep......WOW
Does anyone have any feedback on the above medications? Both Lexapro
and Lyrica are inmensly expensive!
Thanks in advance for your feedback.
