I'm already on medication for high blood pressure but I see my doctor
monthly, he's keeping a close eye on me since the surgery. I had a
hysterectomy in 97' and have been in the change for awhile now but mostly I
don't have any problems with it. No hot flashes, etc since coming off the
premarin. I hated that stuff, just stopped taking it one day. I've never
felt I really needed it but when you have a total hyster they think you do.
I'm living proof that not everyone does. I wish I could say I feel great
but I don't. I knew that the fibro was a separate issue from the weight.
But I guess I thought I'd feel better than I do. My skin is hanging and
that is the cause of some of this all over generalized pain I'm sure but
some of it is due to the increased exercise. I think my stress from the job
these past three weeks made it worse as well. But yeah, with this surgery,
your whole body goes thru changes. I researched it throughly before doing
it though. I do better overall now than I did ten years ago, before I was
diagnosed and for that I am grateful. I'm just in a flare, hopefully it will
resolve itself soon. I tend to fall silent online when my pain is increased
though, I think alot of us do.

I let you know
I will tell you that when I tried effexor, cymbalta ,etc it gave me HB
So beware. !!!
My doctor said that I am in a small percentage that that happens to
but I think it is higher so I want to let everyone know that
is prescribed antidepressants of the possibility
I had an idea that was the problem but then I had other doctors
wanting me to start BP meds ....
You must feel great after surgery thogh dont you?
How old are you?
Do you think it may have thrown your body into menopause?
All my diseases came on me really hard whenI was in Menopause
but I would think a body suffers some shock to the whole systemwith
those changes
The pain all over is the worst feeling with fibro I hope effexor works
for you
I am also on lryica which has helped a great deal with the pain but it
knocks you out gor a while
You couldnt do what you are doing on it I dont think unless you
started with a little amount each day
I am a horticulturist(plant doctor) and artist so for me it just ruins
my inspration and the plants are always accepting:)
I will be intouch and let you know

I can't help you with this, June.......I don't take anything like
that. I was just put back on effexor after being off it for a
couple of years due to the all over pain returning. I'm sure it's
due to my increase in exercise. I had weightloss surgery 4 1/2
months ago and that's a required part of it. Plus I am having issues
with my changing body, I'm not sure why. However my primary thinks
I should give it a try so I am. I take ambien or a percocet to
sleep, never both together. I take as little medication as I have
to. With every medication there are side effects and I'm a full time
working nurse, currently running a medical records department but
I'm still doing nursing duties too. I gotta be as alert as I can
be. I hope you get the information you're looking for.

Im asking this again because my original post went elsewhere
I was hoping to hear more responses about medications fibro patients
have discussed or been prescribed by their doctors
I am aware that provigal has been used for over 2 years now and all
these other drugs
(Adrafinal,.....Provigal,......Olmifel,......Modifanel....Ritalin
) Have come up in other groups and these drugs all have been
prescribed for the tiredness
Thanks for all responses I have already gotten
June
