Re: How and what kind of Calcium???

I'm partial to calcium citrate with some Vitamin D (since I spend zero time
in the sun) and some magnesium.

Schools of thought vary, but calcium citrate is thought, by some, to be more
useful (and more easily available) to one's body. I happen to buy into that
particular school of thought, though.

Oh, one more thing... calcium citrate may be a bit more expensive, but it
somehow seems worth it to me. (Calcium carbonate can be made from some
pretty questionable materials. Kind of reminds me of a conversation with my
vet about the cheaper dog foods with the advertised high protein contents...
The vet said that yes, beaks and claws may indeed be sources of "high
protein", but they aren't necessarily that useful to a dog's system
either...).

Obviously, though, calcium carbonate is more easily obtained (via Tums and
probably Equate brand, both at Wal-Mart, at the very least). I suspect
either way, calcium is probably gonna be helpful for you.

Hope that helps...

Since I'm determined to keep falling all over the place, I decided I
should do all I can to prevent breaking any more bones if I can. I fell
on my face today.

My last two bone density tests were normal, but I've never been one to
drink milk. It literally makes me feel that I'm gonna toss my cookies,
even if I haven't had any to eat.

I figure the next best thing is to take some calcium, but I'm not sure
what type of calcium is the best and whether there's anything that's
supposed to be taken with it. I don't even know what dosage to take.

I thought I'd heard of taking vitamin D with it, then I remember
something about some combination called dolomite.

Is there anyone who could guide me through the calcium path? TIA
