Re: Stinkin tired

{{{{{Nettie}}}}}
The chemo has sapped your body's reserves, thus you have no energy to deal with
anything, even your own emotions, I think. Otherwise you would not feel so bad
about having to take it easy and not run around doing things for anyone just
now, not even your parents.
Look at it this way, what if you were down with the 'flu right when your parents
had a doctor's appointment? I'm thinking you'd not be able to do anything but
stay home under those circumstances either. Right now, you have a chemically
induced "flu" to beat all 'flu's. And just like the 'flu, this tiredness is
temporary and will gradually abate.
I think I understand how you resent what is happening, but it might very well
have been something else that temporarily knocked you out of commission. So take
it easy, get the rest you need, and don't be too hard on yourself. The
depression you feel has got to be partially due to the depletion of your body's
resources. It will pass.

Hang-in-there hugs,
Margo (who is hoping for Nettie's swift recovery)

I slept until 10:15 or so this a.m. since yesterday. I was up and down a
few times but I am still so tired I can hardly stand it. This chemo is for
the birds. And Dave thinks he'd rather have cancer .... that is the biggest
joke I have ever heard. I get tired walking around my house, heating up a
cup of coffee, doing anything. I think this is why they give me a break in
chemo after 4 weeks. I am in tears I am sooooo tired. I was supposed to
take my dad to the dr. today and couldn't even do that. I am really down
and out here and sick of being sick. Sorry, I had to complain. Today is a
rotten day and Ed is gone. He had to go to a meeting regarding his mother.
This is when I don't think life is fair .... when you need energy to help
your aging parents but are too sick to even do that. I just want to cry and
cry and cry. I want some energy back. I need to take care of my parents,
they need me and I don't have enough to give them. Crap.
