I have to disagree, Carol,
Many of us guess, compare etc. & say this has helped me. What I just
read in the 4th reading of her post that you so kindly brought up said:
"I would be willing to BET", "these trigger points SEEM TO BE..." &
then she goes on to use common sense & refer BB to a great website that
explains a lot of what we're all talking about , or should be seein'
that it was BB's post askin' for help...
IMO, CB is out of control w/his anger problem (which he has admitted to
having as he has physically punched out his beloved partner & is now
depressed IMO tho he claims not tho he's been rather suicidalish in
many other ppl's opinions...).
Arghh!!!!
Look, Ron is a good guy, been here a long time & doesn't post often,
rarely shows anger. I'd say he's seen enuff leeway given to someone
who takes more than gives & pretends to have been here many many yrs
more than he has. I'd say I've had enuff of the anger & childish
behavior in a man who just won't admit he's wrong, apologize & grow on.
This whole thing is blown up because anyone who has a negative opinion
about Dave's BEHAVIOR is bein' trashed because he won't admit he may
have gone overboard, was wrong & is just makin' things worse & pullin'
ppl in to take sides whether they supported him in the past or not.

Of course I read her post, do you think I'd make comment on a post I hadn't
read? Let me copy/paste her post for you and put quotation marks around
where I feel she's diagnosing.
Hi B B
I am a myotherapist who has FM. I would be "willing to bet" that you have
"trigger points in your trapezius muscle" that is causing this pain. I
see this all the time - I work on patients who have problems exactly
like yours. "From your list of symptoms, these trigger points seem to be
activiating and/or causing other trigger points to flare up as well - a
common occurance". Here's something for you to check out - Fibromyalgia
(FMS) and Chronic Myofascial Pain (CMP)
http://www.sover.net/~devstar/index.htm
Most good doctors can inject these trigger points with "lidocaine" - that
should get rid of your pain. Or, see a health care professional who
specializes in myofascial release or trigger point therapy - "this is
one of my areas of expertise", so please feel free to contact me for
additional info.
Best Wishes,
Ann Marie
Now do you see what I'm talking about? She's diagnosing by saying that
she's a myotherapist, and that she would bet....in other words she's staking
her professional opinion on the fact that BB has "trigger points in her
trapezius muscle" and telling her that she needs lidocaine injections. I
don't remember ever seeing anyone in all the years I've been active or
lurking in this group actually tell someone what they had and told them the
treatment they needed. Granted I've just gotten home from work and the gym
and I'm tired as hell but I surely do not remember anyone doing that.

Carol, did you actually *read* her post? She didn't make a "diagnosis"
any more than you or a lot of folks here who offered their opinions.
From two small remarks, CB turned a simple response no different thanany of you have made in the past and turned it into an issue. I don't
normally get involved in any groups internal politics since I find them
silly if not boring, but I don't like to see people attacked for giving
to somebody in pain a reasonable answer. Why chase away a resource?
Where's the logic in that?
Ron
